Is the Florida Probate Pro the Right Attorney for You?

I help clients who need to probate the estate of someone who passed away with property in Florida, whether or not you live in the state.

You’re in the right place if:

  • You’re handling the affairs of someone who passed away in Florida
  • You’ve been told you need to open probate or “be appointed” as personal representative
  • You want a flat-fee attorney that can assist you in handling the probate completely remote

The First Step – Let’s Talk

Start by scheduling a free 15-minute phone call so I can learn more about your situation and confirm whether probate is needed.

Helpful Information to Gather

Gathering the following information is helpful however not required for our first conversation.

  • The death certificate
  • The original will (if there is one)
  • Basic info about family members and heirs
  • A list of known assets and debts
  • Contact info for anyone named in the will

What Happens at the Consultation?

  • We Talk – I’ll review your situation, confirm what type of probate or other legal assistance is needed, and answer your questions
  • You Hire Me – I’ll quote you a flat fee and if you choose to hire me, I’ll send you a fee agreement for e-signature
  • I Draft the Paperwork – I prepare the initial probate paperwork, send it to you for e-signature, and file everything with the court
  • We Wait – After filing the probate paperwork with the court, we wait for the Judge to appoint you as Personal Representative, then we begin the probate administration

General FAQ’s

If the person who passed away owned assets solely in their name — like a bank account, house, or investment account — probate is probably needed to transfer those assets. I can confirm this during a free consultation. In some cases, we may be able to avoid probate altogether.

Summary Administration is a shorter, simpler process used when the estate is worth $75,000 or less (not counting the home) or when the person died more than two years ago. Formal Administration is required for larger or more complex estates, or when a personal representative needs to be appointed. I’ll help you determine the right path based on your situation.

Yes! Most of my clients live outside Florida — often children or siblings of the person who passed away. Everything can be handled virtually: phone, email, Zoom, and a secure online portal. There’s usually no need for you to travel to Florida.

Start by booking a free 15-minute phone call. I’ll ask a few questions about your situation, explain what to expect, and let you know if probate is needed and how I can help.

You’ll get a confirmation email and a link to upload any helpful documents. During the call, I’ll explain the process, go over my flat fees, and answer your questions. If you decide to move forward, I’ll send over a fee agreement and we’ll get started right away.

I work on a flat-fee basis, so you’ll know the total cost upfront with no surprises. The fee depends on the type of probate needed and the complexity of the case. I’ll provide a clear quote after our initial call — no pressure, no hidden fees.

If things aren’t going the way you hoped or communication has broken down, I may be able to take over the case. I’ll review the file and let you know whether a substitution is possible. There’s no obligation to switch — but you have options.

If there’s a will, it’s helpful to have a copy — but not required for the initial consultation. Eventually though, it will be important to have the original (wet ink signature) will. If there’s no will, we can still move forward under Florida’s intestate laws.

It depends on the type of probate and complexity of the estate. Summary Administration cases may take 1–3 months, while Formal Administration usually takes 6–12 months. I’ll give you a timeline based on your specific case and keep you updated throughout.

Why Clients Choose Me

Choosing the right probate attorney matters. Here’s why my clients trust me to handle their probate case:

Most of my clients live outside Florida. I make it easy to handle everything from home. No travel. No courthouse. Everything is handled by phone, Zoom, e-mail, e-signature, and secure portal.

I have been successfully administering Florida probate cases for more than 12 years. Importantly, I don’t dabble. I focus almost exclusively on Florida probate cases. Over the years, I have built the knowledge base, skills, and relationships necessary to handle any situation that may arise as part of a probate case.

No hourly billing for ordinary probate matters. You’ll know the full cost up front — no surprises.

You’ll work directly with me — not a call center, paralegal, or associate attorney. The virtual nature of my practice allows me to take fewer cases and dedicate more time and attention to each client.
